Hi there, my name is Richard and I am retired and living in Northern California.

I've been interested in photography since the 1960s while in the Navy as a Jet engine mechanic at Moffett Field CA.  Through the years I became interested in closeup and Macro photography.

In the late 80s I owned a computer business.  During those years, I befriended a professional photographer, named Ruth Kadlec.  Ruth saw the future of still digital photography and asked me if there was a way she could show her clients an instant digital photo of what she had taken with her film camera. I used a video camera, and a very basic computer software package, and was able to capture and show photos on the computer screen.  Ruth and I, accompanied by a model, took the whole thing to a PMA convention and tried to get the backing for further development.  Lots of interest from some companies, however, not enough to invest in our ideas.

Finally, digital came along from the big companies.  Much better technology and software were developed and I still had an interest in macro photography.  The problem was dealing with total focus. In 2014, my dream came true when the hardware and software became available to solve the focus problem, and now this site is my way to share with you what I have wanted to do all these years.

I hope you enjoy and thanks for visiting.

Richard
